The USA had won Canada in the play-off, though Canada had been NO.1 during the past couple of years. Today they will meet again in the final game. It is a competition between the two strongest teams.

Team Canada made the first goal by 26 just 1:57 into the first period. 7 minutes later, Team USA took the advantage of the penalty problem of Canada and scored to make a tie 1-1. Team USA enhanced their spirits from now on , then they made another goal with 2 minutes left in this period and made 2-1 lead.

At the second period, both team paid more attention on defence and cooperation. Penalty problem often pullzed team Canada, while team USA played very positivly. Team USA made another two goals in this period and made it 4-1 lead.

At the third period, team Canada attacked back strongly. They made another two goal constantly and made it 3-4. They continued to work hard in attacking , but it's too late. The game ended in 4-3. The USA earned the gold medal at the 2008 World Women Championship.
